Calliope I.

My name is Calliope (Callie). I am 26 years old and just wrapped up my fifth year of full time teaching. I have a bachelors degree in childhood education with a masters in Literacy and NYS certification in Special Ed. This year I had the pleasure of teaching a fifth grade class. I have also taught third and fourth grade. Through my years of teaching in my own classroom, I have worked with many types of children. Not only have I successfully taught my students- they have taught me a great deal, as well. They have showed me the attention and nurturing that is needed for each student. Before working as a teacher, I spent years babysitting/ nannying for different families ranging from one child to four children. My main duty was to obviously keep each child safe and happy. I have also assisted in setting up activities for the kids, driving them to various places, taking them to the local pool/ library, and prepping meals. I come from a Greek background in which family has always been the main focus. I have a 14-month-old precious nephew that I have helped care for. I have also grown up in a family of healthcare providers ( father is an MD, mother is an RN, and older sister is also an MD). Needless to say, health and safety is something I am very familiar with! I enjoy being active. I prefer being outside when the weather is beautiful and moving around! I realize the importance of stability, honesty, and most importantly consistency when working with children.

• I will be out of the country starting July 24th.
• I will be available for babysitting full time between June 20th- July 23rd

• I will be able to babysit during the fall again. I will be available after school hours . 4 p.m. and on. Tutoring also available ($50 per hour)- all rates negotiable.

Additional services: Meal preparation, Laundry, Light housekeeping, Swimming supervision, and Crafts.
