I would describe my care style to be disciplined with a dash of fun. I believe that children must have a time during the day for work and play. Reading is very important to me. Reading must be included as an everyday activity. A child’s young mind must be nourished. I like limited to no TV time during the day. I would prefer to read and play educational games instead. The last thing I would like to add is reminding children that they are special everyday. Telling a child that they are beautiful, intelligent, strong etc is very important. These are positive affirmations that they can do with help depending on their age and if they are old enough to retain, they can say these things before they go to bed at night and when they rise and shine in the morning.
