My name is Catherine Cruz and I am 32 year old female with over 10 years experience teaching, caring and studying children of all ages. I began my career at age 21 teaching Gymnastics and Rock Climbing at various child enrichment center in New York City. I continued teaching at enrichment centers for six years while pursuing a degree in Child Development. After earning my degree in 2008 I moved to Boulder Colorado where I worked as a preschool teacher at Mt Calvary Rainbow Child Care Center for three years. Since leaving the traditional classroom I have been working as a Wilderness Instructor and Trainer for Outward Bound where I take students ( 14+ years old) on extended wilderness expeditions. These expeditions are designed to teach communication, team building and create opportunities for self reflection, ultimately leading to character development. I am currently taking a 6month leave from my expedition work to study yoga at Samadhi Yoga Center. I am currently CPR and First Aid certified and Life guard Certified
