Hi!

I’m Irene, a macro-focused social worker living in downtown Brooklyn. I’ve been babysitting on and off since I was a teenager (decades ago!). I don’t have any of my own, but I enjoy the whimsy, imagination and joy that children hold. I’m emotionally stable, grounded, trustworthy and engaging. I love my job, but I’m underpaid and looking to make extra money for the holidays while enjoying kid-time and helping local parents out. I have references going back to my days as a part-time nanny in grad school (MSW from Hunter). Kids enjoy my sense of humor, reactions, and knowledge of children’s books. I speak fluent Spanish and dabble in a tiny bit of French. Thanks for considering!
