Hi, my name is Mary, and I am an American college student studying environmental science. I have had jobs on and off throughout my life, but by far my favorite is childcare. I worked as a swim instructor for children ages 2-12 for four years. I love exploring the world(especially the small stuff), and the opportunity to share that type of experience with children excites me to no end. I enjoy reading, hiking, dancing and most of all laughing. I have been an au pair twice before once in Preetz, Germany to two lovely little boys (nine months and three years old) and once in Gex, France to one spunky little four-year-old. I have a fundamental knowledge of French and German as well as an intermediate understanding of Spanish. Nature is a part of me, and I enjoy spending as much time outside as possible especially when accompanied by the imagination of children.
I am CPR and 1st aid certified by American Red Cross. Just this past spring I returned from India after becoming a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. I have my Associates Degree from Howard Community College, and I am currently working towards obtaining a bachelors degree in the biology/horticulture field.
