I’ve always made a great fit for a care provider. As a teenager, my first official job was a preschool teacher assistant during the summer. Another job I had was helping my mother take care of the elderly. I would make Joe (one of the elderly men) meals, clean his home, wash his laundry, and go shopping for his daily and weekly needs. The job made me super happy and I felt very important.
My high school provided us with “The American red cross CPR & babysitting training”. I’m currently enrolling in the same course again since my certification has expired. This course helped me understand how to help children in emergency situations. I’m excited to learn it again and see any updated procedures or added ones!
After high school, I had my own daughter who is now 6 years old, very intelligent, super silly, and very creative. She is the only person who can make me laugh so hard that I cry. Children are awesome and super fun to be around.
My next job was taking care of animals- specifically dogs and cats. My job duties were to love, care for, and exercise with the dogs. I did this for a year or so until I had a client ask me to start my own business. They invested in me and from there I owned my own pet care business. I love working with animals. It has been a fun path but also a very exhausting one. I ended up giving my business away to an establishment in south loop Chicago. The physical requirements for the job can really take a toll on you. Long story short, I really want to continue my passion for helping others in this world. Babysitting is the perfect job for me since I love to explore, create, and learn. I’d love to share more about me but I would need a whole lot more characters. I hope we can meet in person and discuss more!
