As the eldest of 13 cousins, l’ve been caring for little ones since the age of 12. I was also full time nanny for a several years to a family beginning with a newborn. I am often the “go to” for friends and family for child care currently. I come from a line of Montessori educators and have strong alignment with educational play, as well as an emphasis in healthy nutritional, emotional and physical development. I am trained in CPR and First Aid, a college graduate, an incredible (trained) cook, a licensed (and defensive) driver, physically active, patient, artistic, punctual, caring, hygienic, tidy and communicative. I am fully vaccinated and get flu shots seasonally. No smoking, drugs or drama!
I love the fresh eyes and inquisitive minds of children, they stir my creativity and keep me feeling happy and alive! I am happy to engage them in a variety of creative activities- from drawing and mosaics to baking and sewing. I exercise common sense and lead by example with politeness and a more traditional style of etiquette. However, I am also a very sensitive and sweet person who loves to be playful and silly too.
I am comfortable with pets of all kinds. I am comfortable with WFH parents and collaborative childcare too. I have a somewhat flexible schedule but would require a minimum of 6 hours per day for babysitting or minimum income. While I prefer my focus to be on your children, I can participate in some household tasks after some conversation. I do not own a vehicle, but I am comfortable driving and well versed in all things CTA. I was born and raised downtown, I have a strong, nearly sixth sense, understanding of the nuances of city life-safety is my number one priority. I enjoy taking long excursions around our beautiful town too, I am happy to show your children all of the fabulous things to see here.
