My degree in education, childcare, and all the necessary first aid qualifications offer a solid foundation to my approach to childcare. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a Minor is ESL from DePaul University. My aim is to help kids achieve their goals by creating an encouraging learning environment full of interaction hands-on activities, singing, outdoor explorations, crafts, etc and positive energy! Although I love to have fun and engage with my kids, safety is my utmost concern and I carefully monitor children during indoor time as well as when I take them on outings to the park or walks around the neighborhood. With strong interpersonal skills, I have the ability to communicate effectively with kids and their guardians.
I have 10+ years of childcare experience as I progressed from a babysitter in my early teens, to a part-time nanny, to working full-time in a classroom. I have seen how important it is to build relationships with the kids I am working with in order to meet their needs regarding social, emotional, and academic learning. I am very patient with children and love helping them learn while also having fun. This further insures that they are given a space to thrive to the best of their ability especially considering how curious young minds think and develop. I find that I can learn just as much from kids as they can from me!
