Hi! My name is Sara and Im excited to meet you. Im from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and I have been a care giver for over 10 years. Outside of my big family with my cousins and siblings Ive worked with kids ranging in age from 15 months to 12 years old. I went to college for performance arts and I love to integrate music, reading, and dance into daily activities. My goal is to support you in your parenting style while creating a fun and open environment for your little humans.
Initially I started as a Mothers Helper when I was young so her three children could stay occupied while she worked from home. Then in high school I spent my summers taking care of an 11 year old boy while his mother worked. We would go the country club to swim and play tennis or he would be outside with my baby brother who was the same age. He had dietary restrictions but I love to cook so we had lots of cookouts, spaghetti, and pizza bagels. Then I cared for a 2 year old and 4 year old in Bucktown for a year and a half before the Pandemic. I was there first thing in the morning to help get the family up and out of the house. I created a morning routine for the 2 year old boy. I would get him up, dressed, fed, changed, teeth brushed/face washed, and on the move. The baby girl who was 4 was super independent so the parents and I worked together to encourage her to be vocal about what she needed. I would make her breakfast but she was learning to do the rest for herself and it really helped the mornings run smoothly so the parents could be out of the house in time for work. Lastly I worked for a family in Wicker Park. There was one baby girl who was 15 months. She was the easiest sweetest baby. Her parents were working from home so we played and ate and listened to music. She loved books and pointing at things for me to get for her and playing hide and seek around the island in the kitchen. We would go on walks and it was pretty fun. Id love for you to talk with them about their experiences and Id love to work with you too!
