Hello! My name is Jara Brailsford, I am 20 years young and I will be a Junior at Mcmurry University this upcoming fall. I major in sociology and minor in psychology in which I plan to further my career as a councilor. I have big plans of being one of the best councilors in my City. I feel that the youth and others need not only verbal support but also physical support and it can start with me if no one else is whiling. During school I work at an elementary school with kids who I enjoy being with. Not only for the income to help support me throughout school, but for the light that I bring to young children. These children who I consider my younger siblings since I didnt grow up with any face many challenges throughout school such as ADHD and other stigmas that set them apart from others. Knowing that I get to partake in getting closer to my dreams everyday after a long morning/evening of classes makes me more determined to peruse my dreams. Since enrollment in college I have made the deans list twice and I will continue to try to reach for that every semester.
