Hello, My name is Julie, and I have been working with children of a range of different ages for the last 26 years. I am a certified teacher, with my main certification in teaching early childhood through 6th grade, in all subjects. I also pursued a Master’s degree in Reading, it is my passion to teach children reading skills starting at the youngest age possible. I started out very young working at a local established daycare/preschool in Plano, with 4 year olds, and also in the 2-3 year old room, and helping with infants and toddlers when needed. I eventually finished my undergraduate studies with a degree in Family Consumer Sciences, specializing in Family Services. I followed that up with getting certified to be a classroom teacher, and have continuted to grow my professional development through trainings and other opportunities, renewing and adding to my certifications. I believe young children have the innate ability to learn, if they are given the right leadership and chances to grow that learning. I thrive on seeing the progress that children can make with repetition and practice, and the pride and accomplishment they feel when doing so. I would love to work for a family that can utilize my knowledge and skills with helping to care for, and even teach, their child(ren), and provide other learning opportunities, so their academic needs are taken care of, along with social and emotional as well.

Overnight: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
