Hi there! My name is Elissa. This app asks me to tell you why I would be a perfect fit for your family and what sets me apart from the sea of other applicants. Well, to tell you the truth, I don’t know. But I would love to find out! From a very young girl, I was a natural caregiver. You see, my mother died when I was ten years old. As the oldest girl with two younger sisters, it was not really a question of “would you”; it was just natural order that I picked up where my mom left off. Don’t get me wrong, my father is a living Saint. He did the best he could and I can only hope to be as humble and self-less as he one day. After leaving the house for college, I did the typical babysitting jobs. I received my BA in English and my Masters in Secondary Education. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that teaching was not my path. After teaching I took a nanny position in Martha’s Vineyard for a very open-minded family of five . It was a wonderful job all-around. It was like being home again. One of my strengths is the ability to make people happy, be it a game, making dinner, taking care of chores or whatever else it is that might make your life a little easier. That is what I do, I make your life easier so that you can enjoy what’s most important: your family, your home, friends and even the holidays!
