I am currently a special education paraprofessional, I work for the St. Mary Parish school board where I have been Commended by teachers and school principals for creative instructional activities and calm, nurturing approach that helped foster an environment conductive to student success. I’m married, I have 5 children, 3 that I actually gave birth to, 1 stepson, and 1 adopted son. I had 1 biological son who passed away 4 years ago at the age of 13. I am a strong believer in God, I am a youth leader at my church,I tutor Spanish children 2 days a week.

I have had training in Crisis intervention , self defense techniques, Strong interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills, team-oriented, criminal law knowledge. Can manage aggressive and non-aggressive behavior through verbal and physical intervention using prescribed and approved techniques, Can provide academic functional and vocational instruction, and collect behavior data. Experienced in working with special needs children as well as regular education population, gained experience assisting students with a range of disabilities and learning differences including ADD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, and sown syndrome. Meets a rigorous standard of quality by passing the ParaPro assessment. Ability to work under pressure speedily and professionally. Mandated training, child supervision, creating lesson plans, friendly, compassionate, and helpful.
