Good to meet you! I am a lover of humanity, nature, exercise, art, education, tea, music, dancing, & Disney. At Kent State University, I earned a Master’s in Education. While in grad school I took on babysitting roles that included helping with homework, meal prep, and light chores & organizing, playtime, walks, etc. I encourage breaks for play, stretching, or mindful activity. Previously I had a career with University Hospitals working with vulnerable people. I have acquired more skills in trauma-informed care & coupled them with my previous mental health studies. That experience enhanced my perspective on many things, and ignited the spark to care take full-time.

As the second of four children, I have always been a caretaker. Early on I learned leadership & kindness. These experiences shape my approach to discipline; leading with empathy. I get on the level of the child and understand what their needs are by being present & giving space for their emotions.

In high school I babysat for relatives; the gang included a preemie, newborns, & toddlers. After college, I gained more experience with children aged between 3-10 years old. I incorporated more outdoor and activity time to match their natural energy, practiced schoolwork, pool time, ran errands, occasional sports games & practices, or pick-ups & drop-offs. Light cleaning throughout the day to maintain the home and obliging as best as possible to miscellaneous requests. For two years I had the privilege of mentoring two high school girls through Savannah James’ (LeBron James’ wife), Women of Our Future program. We provided developmental and coping skills, built trust, engaged mentees in leadership development activities, & encouraged female empowerment.

I love crafting, encouraging learning in fun ways, listening to interactive language learning podcasts, being in nature and observing the elements, etc. I consider myself a lifelong learner and hard worker, emotionally healthy, compassionate, creative, reliable, & honest. A few of my hobbies include yoga and meditation, reading and writing, & Zumba. I value my degree as it allows me to gauge how to most effectively teach children in a way they understand.

I am patient, organized, flexible, & energetic. My childcare experience spans over a decade with a focus on health and wellness, safety and education, & mindfulness. I hope to add value to your household soon.
