Hi everyone! My name is Shahina and Im currently a junior at Rutgers University. Im majoring in political science with an emphasis on International Relations, and studying to one day become a diplomat! Besides that, Ive had an affinity for art for as long as I can remember and love to paint in my spare time. What I love about kids is that theyre honest and so so curious about the world still. My family, immediate and extended, is HUGE so Ive never had a shortage of children to take care of, ranging from newborns to my cousins in middle school. If high schoolers needed to be babysat Id most likely be called on too I also have 5 years worth of experience working at a pediatricians in the positions of Medical Assistant as well as Office Manager! I love that Im always surrounded by kids, and would like to take this opportunity to continue this path :) Ive found that kids of all ages like to draw (on anything) so thats always something fun to engage them in! If its nice out, I like to take them outside to soak up the sun. If not, we can always play games indoors, read (which is so important for growing minds), or watch a little TV. I also like preparing fun snacks. But at the end of the day, it all depends on the children themselves, and Im always open to personalizing care to fit individual needs.
