I want to start this letter by telling you a brief story about my grandmother. She is the woman who taught me and other family members the importance of caring for one another.
I’m Albiona and I have master degree on pedagogy, the education science . I was born in Peja a small place in Kosovo. My grandfather passed away when he was young (36 years old), so my grandmother, by herself took care of her four children. She also took care of the garden, the house and everything else. She has done a wonderful job not only with her children but also after taking care of her grandchildren (14 in total). Today, among us are teachers, artists, journalists, doctors, and specialists in economics, computer science and others who are still studying. Hajrukja as we call our grandmother, a playful name since her real name is Hajrie, has said the reason why her family is united and prospered is because of her dedication to educating and caring for children since infancy. That is why I have studied education to discover more about this power that in academic language is known as Pedagogy.
Being a parent is so important and challenging, and fun at the same time. You already know that. A long journey but we can do it together if you accept. I will be for you a friend, who will care for your child with so much love just like our grandmother cared for us or a big sister like I am for my three siblings. But being a big sister to your children comes with responsibilities for them and it will not always be just fun and fun. I am well aware of this fact and I am prepared. We can make it together.
I will be very happy if you choose me to help take care of your baby. I strongly believe that my academic knowledge and my experience as a pedagogue but also the connection and care I have learned from my family will make this journey an easy and enjoyable one. So see you soon in the weeks ahead!
