Amivi S.

Amivi is a 19 year old college student at NYU. During her first year, she took on volunteer and work study roles that involved working with children. For example, she worked as a team member for Jumpstart – an organization whose mission is to support and aid children ages 3-5 get a head start in reading and critical thinking in pre-school. Amivi was also an Americorps volunteer for Jumpstart, so she would spend any free time she had outside of school assisting the teachers in the classroom. Beyond Jumpstart, Amivi volunteers with Dance to Unite – an organization dedicated to teaching children the important values of diversity, acceptance, and love through dance. During her first year, Amivi co-taught a first grade class at PS134.
With two younger brothers of her own, and countless younger god-siblings and cousins, Amivi has taken on the babysitting role at a young age and has a very nurturing and compassionate spirit. She believes babies and puppies are the purest spirits in the world; that’s why much of her time outside of school is spent with children.
All in all, Amivi is a responsible and affectionate babysitter with experience caring for children during evenings, the school year, and summer breaks. She is CPR trained and able to give emergency first-aid. She is also skilled in creating fun, engaging, and educational activities, while prioritizing childrens safety, as well as their emotional and physical well-being.
