Between the ages of 15 to 20, I was a Bollywood dance teacher for students of all age. This helped me get accustomed to working with children from different backgrounds and with different skills. Also during that time, and when I began college, I would babysit for a number of families, mainly with children from the ages of 2 to 8. While I have babysat for my nieces and nephews (of which there are 8) while they were new-borns, toddles, and now to when they are about 5-8 years old, I am capable of having the same type of fun and educational interaction with other children in that age range who may not recognize me. In addition, I studied child psychology at Wesleyan University which helped me better understand the various needs and behavior of children at different stages in their childhood.
