College educated professional living and working full-time in the city, hoping to find a part-time (nights and weekends) nannying or babysitting job as I have a passion for kids. I am currently working at a major retail corporation 9-6 M-F. Previously, I have been both a babysitter, as well as a camp counselor for special needs children. One of the major responsibilities in the counselor role included attending daily occupational therapy sessions with children at high risk of aggression behaviors such as physical harm to others – particularly biting, throwing objects, and hitting. Many of the children were either nonverbal or low functioning and required regular assistance in using the restroom, as well as eating. Was tasked with overall fostering a positive, developmental environment for these children. I hope to put these skills to use with a friendly family in the city.
