Originally from Nashville, I moved to New York in June 2017 after graduating from Vanderbilt University. As the second eldest of five children and eldest sister of four girls, taking care of young children is in my blood. With one sister who is eight years old and one that is thirtee, I have been taking care of small children and babies for as long as I can remember. My parents have always worked full-time jobs allowing me the opportunity to help with my younger sisters. I was taught that it is everyones job to make sure members of the family are well taken care of and listened to. My parents always taught me how important it is that I be an example to the younger ones. They showed me how great a role I have as an older sister and I take it very seriously.

During my four years at Vanderbilt, I participated in a peer-tutoring program. I also took a great interest in child psychology and took any classes offered on the subject. I am well versed in tending to children at different developmental stages and know how to manage their cognitive, physical, and social demands.

I have 7 years of babysitting experience and am CPR certified. I have been babysitting consistently for other families since 2011 allowing me experience as a day, night, or overnight sitter. I am punctual, dependable and communicate consistently on and off the job. I am trustworthy, flexible, and easy-going making it easy for me to adapt to the ways of each household. If there are specific instructions left, I will make sure to follow them. I also have a strong level of common sense and self-awareness making me very productive in high stress or dangerous situations. If something were to happen, you can trust that I will act in the smartest and most efficient way possible.

I pride myself on being a very interactive and engaged babysitter. I have such a genuine interest and care for children and for fostering a healthy, fun, active, and safe environment. I am familiar with the energy of kids and the high level of care and attention they require. I enjoy playing outside and I am comfortable being outside the house or apartment with the children.

Regarding babies and small children, I am well trained in the processes of feeding, dressing, diapering, bathing, and playing. I balance my attention so that no child feels like one sibling is getting more than another.

Lastly, I am comfortable doing laundry, running errands, picking up groceries, and cleaning up the house.

Additional services: Meal preparation, Laundry, Light housekeeping, Swimming supervision, Crafts, Potty training, and Travel with family.
