Write a messageI began babysitting because of my little brother. At a young age I was given the responsibility of feeding him, entertaining him, and making sure that he stayed safe. My parents worked a lot and this was the way that I could help out in the house. As I grew older, other parents in my neighborhood noticed how well I had been taking care of my younger brother and started to ask me if I could also babysit their kids. This began my career as a babysitter and also a youth leader. I later began to also sign up to be a camp counselor because I was recommended to take on a higher role and was a counselor in training at a sleep away camp in Livonia, New York. I was also a day camp counselor in Lyons, New York for an organization called Rural and Migrant Ministries and began a youth group with them called the Justice Organization of Youth. I was also a volunteer at my town’s local public library and am also an Eagle Scout. My Eagle Scout project was a carnival for the kids in my community so that they could have something to do while their parents worked in the summer. I have much experience in taking care of children and also in teaching. I was a mentor for kids in my high school, helping with math, english, and arts. I also was a youth teacher at my local church and helped to keep them on track and learning about their religion. Most recently, I was an America Reads tutor from NYU and helped to regulate the classroom and keep them on track in their studies. I know how to help kids with school but also know hoe to keep things fun and engaging.
