I’m a warm, outgoing, energetic woman in lower Manhattan with 20 years of part-time babysitting experience, caring for kids ranging in age from infants to pre-teens who are almost ready to become babysitters themselves. I have special experience caring for kids with special needs, including ADHD, autism, and intellectual disabilities. I grew up as the oldest cousin in a very large extended family, so I’m very comfortable taking care of multiple small kids at once. I love kids; I enjoy their curiosity and playfulness.

I’m happy to supervise homework time and offer homework help and tutoring. I worked in the “Writing Lab” in college, helping other students with writing and research assignments. I have also worked as a French tutor and SAT tutor.

I love planning hands-on activities with the kids I babysit, especially decorating cookies and gingerbread houses; I’m a skilled cake decorator, so I bring the piping bags and decorative nozzles. I love reading to kids, and have introduced several kiddos to the Harry Potter series. I have long, straight hair, and the girls I’ve babysat have loved braiding my hair; I’m happy to sit for pretend beauty parlor.

I am conversant in French and Spanish. I have a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Pace University. I live in lower Manhattan and have easy access to virtually all train lines.

I will be staying in the city over the holidays, and have availability over the December holidays, including week of 12/24 – 12/31.
