My name is Jelani I am a recent College Grad with a BFA in Acting and Musical Theater. But outside of my Performance endeavors, I have been working with children since I was 14. My mother runs a child day care agency and thats where my experience began. I have been a caretaker for kids ranging from ages 3 months- up until 18 years. I am CPR certified, and have my finger prints taken for the Department of Health and The Administration for Children Services. This past summer I worked as summer camp group leader, Where I had to facilitate activities (fun and educational) for the campers, I was awarded group leader of the Summer at the end of my time there. When I got to college I was appointed the job of Academic Achievement Program Mentor, meaning I had to introduce the incoming freshman class to college and facilitate trips and get them acquainted with the new city they would be living in (Philadelphia). I consider myself personable, responsible and very caring. I am devoted to making sure the safety of others and myself is never compromised. If I was not so immersed in the arts I would have definitely took up childhood education. Raising children, motivating them, teaching them and guiding them is such a crucial thing, We are the ones who inspire the next Presidents, Chemist, Nobel Peace Prize winners, Doctors, Lawyers and Entertainers.
