Hello, My name is Kathleen, but all the kids I have cared for call me “Kath-a-leen”. I grew up in Ohio babysitting, teaching and competing in gymnastics and Irish step dancing. I received my undergrad degree is in Elementary Education in 1992. I taught both first and fifth grade prior to moving to Boston in 1995. While in Boston, I was a mid-day nanny (8AM-2PM) for a family of four while I worked full time and earned my Master degree in Tax. Yes, don’t laugh, but I am an overachiever. Ihave a strong passionto work withkidswith the patience to match! Just askmy 2.5 year oldnephew who knows ALL his ABCs and can spell a few easy words! My favorite childhood activities include make-believe, arts-n-crafts and outdoor fun. Believe or not, the kids I care for never ask for the TV! I provide fun, yet structured activities to keep the little ones entertained!I have numerous references available that can confirm the above as well as a few 4-yr olds that will still call me to say when can you come over and play with me? Since I now work full time in the corporate world, I needfind time to letmy inner child run wild. I’m searching for occassionaly babysitting opportunites only. Thanks for reading, Kathleen
