Hi families!

My name is Kayla and I am a sophomore at the Parsons School of Design at the New School.

I love spending time with kids, especially teaching them activities I love or just hanging out! I have been a golf coach at the First Tee Colorado Rocky Mountains since 2022 and was a piano teacher during my gap year in 2023.

As a golf instructor, I lead golf lessons and teach children through enjoyable and engaging activities while implementing core values such as respect, integrity, and confidence in large groups. As a piano teacher at Maestro Music Institute, I taught children in an individual or small group setting through entertaining games and songs. In addition, I tried to find ways to make lessons more entertaining and effective, such as helping the students visualize the activities, like drawing pictures on sheet music.

My favorite part about working with kids is their integrity, drive, confidence, and the funny things they say which brings joy to my day. I believe that I would be a great babysitter because of the skills I learned teaching golf and piano!
