Hello!

I’m Lauren, and I have recently returned to Manhattan after continuing my work as a teaching artist and nanny in the Bay Area, CA for the last few years.

I have been working with children since 2009 as a teacher and nanny/babysitter. I’ve been a theater, music, and dance educator to students ages 4-18. I most recently directed a high school theater program for the past two years. I love inspiring creativity in kids, whether that be through playing games, doing crafts, or singing and listening to music. I believe storytelling is essential to building empathy and curiosity. Each child has unique gifts and creative play is a great way to discover and affirm those special qualities.

I have lots of experience nannying in New York, and I am very comfortable traveling with children around town. I served as a weekend live-in nanny to a family living on the Upper East Side and the Hamptons. In addition to general nanny duties including morning and night routines, managing activities and play dates, drop offs and pick ups, and best of all, swimming and playing outside, etc., I managed the house (including grocery shopping, errands, cleaning, and laundry), cooked for the kids, organized closets, packed for trips, etc. I have lots of energy and when children are at an activity or sleeping, I enjoy using that time to clean up, do the dishes, and organize.

I’m currently looking to fill weekday evenings starting at 6pm and weekends (all day Sat/Sun).

Overnight: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
