Hi there, I am Maya! I just finished my first year studying Psychology and Brain Sciences at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I am originally from New Jersey and living in Manhattan for the summer. As an only child I grew up helping my mom clean around the house and make meals. I became obsessed with cooking and preparing healthy meals for the people around me which, one of the many things I enjoy while babysitting. I have been looking after children since highschool. Primarily I have cared for kids aged 5-12 but love kids of all ages. My junior year of high school I volunteered at my local elementary school where I helped students with their homework and would tutor them when needed.
it was here where I got to express my life for math and science while sharing my passion with others. In my free time I enjoy reading, painting, and cooking. Therefore I am a huge advocate in letting kids explore their creative side through different mediums of art and exploring the great outdoors if the weather permits.
