Hey! I’m Maya. I’m 18 and a native New Yorker. I graduated from Friends Seminary this past June, and am currently taking a gap year. I grew up with a big family, so I’ve always been around kids of all ages. I’m very interested in art and fashion, and how this intersects with social activism. I have been babysitting and tutoring for about two years, and I really enjoy it. My high school required 100 hours of community service a year, and I completed most of those volunteering with children. I know how growing up in New York City is, and so I love to give back to my community.
