Hi! My name is Mirella. I recently moved back to New York after traveling throughout Europe and touring graduate schools. I previously worked as an Americorps VISTA for a year at a non-profit organization that uses equine therapy to help children and adults with mental and physical disabilities. Prior to my VISTA service, I supported my peers in college for three years, working with them as a college assistant, providing educational accommodations for students with disabilities. From early high school I began working as a babysitter and the coordination, time management, and multi-tasking skills I’ve gained in my recent positions will make me a perfect fit for this position. Additionally, I have excellent cooking and cleaning skills, I play piano, and I love nature based activities!
