Hello. My name is Phyllis and have been caring for other’s children most of my life.

- I babysat for two neighboring families during all 4 years of high school. One family had three children and the other had two. All were over one and under six years old.
- As a student of Social Work at Hunter College in New York City I worked under clinical supervision as part of my degree requirements as a program assistant in an after school program in a Bronx, NY neighborhood blighted by poverty and violence. These children ranging in age from 5 through 10 had many challenges to face at home and school and so the fun, the attention and safety they found in our program was very important to them and their parents.
- I served as a nanny to a 9 year old boy in 1984.
- I provided childcare to friend and neighbor single, working parent for several years when she had her first child.

I moved to Toms River from the city two years ago and am now retired part time. I work as a companion to the elderly through the agency Comfort Keepers. I would like to expand my work to include children as well at this time.

I love children and as an older adult understand the value of giving them my full attention.
