I really enjoy taking care of children and I know how to easily connect with them. I don’t talk down to them and I treat them with the respect they deserve. When we play I follow their lead and join them in their make believe stories — playing legos on the floor or following wherever their imagination takes them. And I always stress the importance of cleaning the space after we’re done. I have taught a roomful of kids ages 6-7 at Harlem Children Zone. I learned how to help kids emotionally and how to guide them, even when emotions are running high.
