Hello! My name is Kate, and I would love to babysit for your family!

As the oldest of five children, I grew up as my family’s “built-in babysitter”. In fact, when I was in second grade, I often joked that I had changed more diapers than the average adult. I started babysitting for other families when I was in eighth grade, which I continued full-time in high school and part-time in college. I have experience working with infants, toddlers, pre-teens, and early teenagers, including those with disabilities. I always come prepared with activities, but I definitely value your child’s input about what to do together. I am also comfortable cooking meals, driving to activities, helping with homework, and caring for pets. Lastly, the safety of your child is my number one priority, so I am fully-vaccinated (booster included) and CPR-certified.

Besides being a babysitter, I am also a student, researcher, athlete, and disability advocate. I attended Cornell University for college, where I majored in Biology and played on the Varsity field hockey team. I currently work full-time as a clinical researcher and am starting medical school in summer 2022. When I am not working or babysitting, I can be found running, reading, baking, or volunteering for a non-profit for young adults with Down Syndrome – I am currently training for my first half marathon! I plan to ultimately become a pediatric surgeon so that I can continue to partner with children and their families throughout my career.
