I have been babysitting since age 12, and was a Mother’s Helper from age 8 onward. I have babysat children between the ages of 6 months – 12 years. In my home state of Maine I took the kids I worked with on field trips and did my best to spend our time doing meaningful activities – sometimes homework, but lots of playing games and making art. I am a recent college graduate and my full time job is through AmeriCorps, tutoring ninth grade in North Philadelphia. I spent the last two years working in an elementary school and feel most comfortable working with children in that age group. I am looking for part time work only on the weekends and some evenings. My time living in Philadelphia began midway through this summer, so I am still new to a lot of things around here! I hope that working as a babysitter will give me the chance to see more in the area.
