Hi, my name is Ashley! I am 19 years old and I go to Denison University. I would consider myself pretty outgoing overall, however, I can be shy at first. I love kids and I started babysitting with my older sister when I was 12. By the time I was 15, I was able to babysit three girls under the age of 6 by myself. Since then, I have babysat for many families with ages varying from less than 1 year up to 8 years. Depending on their age, I usually play with the kids, drive them to activities, prepare meals for them, bath them, read them stories, and put them to bed. I also try my best to clean up if there is a safe opportunity where I don’t need to be right there with the kids (ex. bed time, or other down time.) I have loved kids for as long as I can remember. My goal is to be a fun and safe playmate that kids can look up to when their parents aren’t around. Additionally, I have a lot of experience with pets/ housesitting. I have stayed for an extended period of time at the main house that I nanny at to take care of their 2 dogs, 4 cats, lizard, and many plants! I also have a lot of experience with kids who have special needs and have been volunteering in different programs since I was sixth grade. This also consisted of minimal training programs. Overall, I love babies, kids, animals, and friends who have special needs and I understand that parents aren’t able to be with their kids and pets at all times so I love to be a safe, fun adult to kids when their parents aren’t home.
