Near The Pier Development Center

Premier Child Care is a unique concept in child-care service. It incorporates into its curriculum, child development theories of Piaget, Montessori, Erikson, Kohlberg, Maslow, and other esteemed developmentalists. Premier Child Care consists of four educational facilities: Pill Hill, Near The Pier, Lake View, and West Austin. All centers are conveniently located throughout the Chicagoland area.

The history of the centers dates back to March of 1985 when Pill Hill first opened its doors. A very young woman, coming directly out of college, was given the opportunity to start a day care center. She met this challenge possessing little, if any, experience in the field. However, she went on to receive a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. Subsequently, she opened additional schools. Near the Pier was opened in September of 1997. Lake View Development Center opened its doors in July of 2000. The last school to open was West Austin Development Center in March of 2007. Twenty-four years of hard work, dedication to children and their education, one day care center has blossomed into four. Additionally, because Premier has devoted years to serving the community, through the community, the facility is able to offer preschoolers and their parents far more than mere baby sitting services.

Many students who graduate from Premier Child Care are admitted to accelerated classes when they enter first grade. Several students who have graduated from high school have returned to express their gratitude for the wonderful educational foundation they received from Premier Child Care. The rich tradition of excellent education, which began twenty-four years ago, continues today and allows Premier Day Care to proudly proclaim the motto, “Graduating Preschoolers to Prescholars”
