The program at Mini School is flexible, but follows a pattern which gives children a feeling of security and sequence. In a warm, supportive environment, children are given many opportunities for learning through “doing” and through play. There is time each day for a free choice of activities, both indoors and outdoors, group experiences with music and stories, snack time, and a short rest.
Many opportunities are provided for children to experience “successes”, both mentally and physically, in order to inspire confidence and the enjoyment of learning. The development of social skills is also stressed both to promote self-identity and self-worth and to teach respect for the rights of others.
