Bauer Early Care & Education - Durgan

Each year in Lafayette hundreds of boys and girls from low-income families enter school for the first time with significant challenges such as health problems nutritional issues and a lack of self confidence. Without the will to learn and grow these children often quickly fall behind and find their troubles compounded in later years. To give these children a chance to succeed Bauer Early Care and Education operates Lafayettes one and only Head Start/Early Head Start Program providing whole-family services to low-income residents in the Greater Lafayette area. Head Start gives preschool-aged children the support necessary to meet their emotional social educational health and nutritional needs. Head Start also supports parents who have the biggest impact on helping their child to succeed.
