Lake Square Presbyterian Child Enrichment Center

Lake Square Presbyterian Child Enrichment Center (C.E.C.) is a non-profit preschool for children three to five years of age. We believe that children must be presented with learning opportunities designed to challenge but not frustrate them in an environment of loving acceptance. Learning growing and sharing in God’s love is at the heart of our Christian pre-school philosophy. We will build on the foundation that the parents have established as parents are the child’s first teachers. We extend the philosophy to our families by building a community of friendship and support. We have an “open door” policy and we encourage families to participate in all areas of school life.

C.E.C. preschool and pre-kindergarten classes begin the Tuesday following Labor Day and end a week before Memorial Day. Our half-day classes meet from 9A.M. to 12:00 Noon Monday through Thursday. Students are accepted on a first come basis. All children must be fully toilet trained and between the ages of three and five.

Our “Creative Curriculum” supports a variety of learning opportunities which are designed to challenge and prepare our students for kindergarten by meeting the Florida Sunshine State Standards. We provide a group environment where children will learn to work cooperatively together. Portfolio assessments will be kept on each child and updated periodically throughout the year. Teachers will creatively present the themes that have been selected for each week. Children’s past experiences are designed to be collected and continually built into their new experiences in school. C.E.C. concentrates on development of the whole child in a safe healthy and nurturing environment.
