Teachers must participate in regular research-based professional development that enables them to perfect their craft.
Teachers must be given time to practice new techniques and strategies with their students and to receive feedback from their colleagues on the effectiveness of their delivery of instruction.
Assessments are tools to be used to analyze student progress, the delivery of instruction, the effectiveness of instructional materials, and the expenditure of categorical funds.
Educators, parents, and students are partners in the educational process.
Children must be taught by educators who recognize they have unlimited potential and provide programs to move them towards excellence.
