Community Synagogue ECC of Port Washington

We believe in the centrality of Jewish education emphasizing the importance of learning from our youngest members in preschool to our most senior members. We have a popular Early Childhood Center housed in a newly built and “state of the art” Learning Center. We are proud to hear so many of our students and their parents who speak about how much they enjoy coming to Religious School. Our education program is innovative and creative – with a strong emphasis on family learning from occasional Parent and Child Education sessions to a monthly alternative to Sunday school with parents and students spending a bit longer in intensive experiential learning.

We have a wide variety of Adult Education programs from lectures to weekend scholars to weekly classes. Our Adult Education is founded in the belief that literate and knowledgeable Jewish adults are the role models for coming generations. Our belief in a Reform Judaism based in informed choice is founded on the belief that knowledge of Torah and our tradition is the means through which those choices should be made.
