Hope Lutheran School is nationally recognized in the field of early childhood education and has achieved accreditation with NAEYC National Association for the Education of Young Children and NLSA National Lutheran School Association. The school is a ministry of Hope Lutheran Church and is governed by the Church Council and School Board. Hope Lutheran School is a year-round program that offers all day care for children infants through five years. The program consists of a flexible schedule that has been created to provide diversity and challenge for children in all age groups. Our programs focus is on active learning because we believe children learn best through hands on experiences. The curriculum is carefully designed to provide engaging developmentally appropriate activities that encourage children to be confident competent learners.

At Hope we follow the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines for developmentally
appropriate practices. We focus on the total child their social emotional cognitive physical and spiritual growth. We
believe that learning is an active process and follow the High/Scope curriculum philosophies. Work is planned which
emphasizes the process rather than the product fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride. Children learn best
through play and exploration and the routine encourages active involvement meaningful experimentation and exposure to a
variety of sports arts and academics. Schedules are created with balance of structure and free choice with active and
quiet times.
