Early Sprouts

Early Sprouts, located in brownstone Brooklyn, has been supporting families of children with special needs for over 16 years. In October, 1991, we expanded our services to children between birth and three years of age.

Early Sprouts, our Early Intervention Program believes the family is the central part of the early intervention process. Therefore, our program is dedicated to work within a family-centered framework in a culturally sensitive manner.

All professionals working with a child and their parents are part of a team, which works together to address the desired outcomes on the Individual Family Service Plan.

Special Needs:

Early Sprouts provides multi-disciplinary evaluations and individual therapeutic services to children in the family's home or community settings.

Any services provided are based on the child's needs as determined by the NYC Early Intervention Program. Services are funded by the New York State and New York City governments, and are offered at no out-of-pocket cost to families.

Services are provided to children birth to three years of age who are showing signs of possible delay in any of the following areas:

Physical/Motor Development
Speech & Language Development
Social/Emotional Development
Intellectual/Cognitive Development
Adaptive Functioning
Home based services include:

Special Education
Occupational Therapy
Physical Therapy
Speech-Language Pathology
Family Counseling
Family Training
Play Therapy
