The Cook County - City of Chicago Child Development

The Cook County/City of Chicago Child Development Center is a client-based child care and early education center that gives priority access to Cook County and City of Chicago Employees. Community families are able to enroll in the toddler through pre-kindergarten programs. The infant program is exclusive to Cook County and City of Chicago Employees. Full-time and drop-in programs are offered.

We are located in the Chicago Loop across from Daley Plaza. Our convenient location serves families in the Chicagoland Area. Commuting families have easy and quick access to the area’s public transportationluding the Metra, as well as most CTA Train lines and bus routes.

In each of our classrooms, infants, toddlers, twos, preschool and pre-kindergarten, our teachers provide a stimulating environment for learning and development. Our curriculum, The World at Their Fingertips, offers a comprehensive education that develops the whole child: mind, body, social self, and character in a safe, healthy and nurturing environment.

Our State of the Art Facility offers an Infant / Toddler playground, twos/preschool playground and large indoor gross-motor play space.

The Cook County/City of Chicago Teachers are professionally trained with all Teachers having Associate Degrees or higher in Early Education or related fields, and are committed to providing children with quality, consistent care and education with long term staff in place. We encourage dialogue with you about your child and welcome your participation in the center through parent meetings, classroom parent representatives, family events, parent conferences, detailed children portfolios and online conferencing, and parent workshops.
