The main focus of our curriculum is to provide students with hands-on knowledge of their world at a level appropriate for their educational needs. Daily preschool activities such as Arts and Crafts, Story Time and Indoor/Outdoor Play will be structured around units such as Bugs, Gardening, Weather, All About Me, Family, Farming, Summer, and Shapes. We will also work on life skills such as Potty Training, Good Table Manners and How To Be A Good Friend. Activities will be hands-on, requiring the children to do, show and experiment.
Areas of instruction include the sciences, technology, foreign language, music, arts, mathematics, reading and language development, writing skills, history, and social development.
Units are taught through interdisciplinary instruction. Subjects feed into and support one another. Technology is used as a means to reach our educational goals. Throughout, our focus is to encourage students to tackle even the most complicated concepts by breaking them down, seeking out patterns, finding connections and building upon what they have already learned.
