Children are lifelong learners. We want your children to grow into individuals who love learning. We are conscious of each of the children’s learning styles. This ensures that children are learning in their own way and in their own time which makes learning fulfilling instead of “work”. Our teachers encourage children to respect diversity, responsibility, problem solving, develop motor skills, foster a positive identity and express creativity.
My son is four and he loves The Learning Tree, he even ask to go to school on the weekend no more to be said. I think that speaks volumes. Thumbs Up for The Learning Tree South
We started with The Learning Tree-Livonia South in March 2012. My daughter was then 2 1/2 years old. We were extremely pleased with the instruction and the loving individuals she was around. In July 2013, my daughter was diagnosed with a medical condition that requires constant monitoring and individual attention. Knowing that she is one of numerous children at The Learning Tree, we weren't sure if the situation would work out. Our concerns quickly vanished. Everyone from the teaching assistants to the facility directors stepped up and helped out. I worry about my daughter's medical condition only because it will always be a constant concern. What I don't worry about is whether she is receiving adequate attention. It is really comforting to know that your child is not just being watched, but is cared for by so many. I highly recommend The Learning Tree-Livonia South. The staff clearly loves what they do and they do it well.
We love the Learning Tree - Livonia South!! My twins were 3 1/2 when they started in the TPS room and they love it!! The first few weeks were met with tears each time I dropped them off (they had previously been at home with my Mom while I worked full time) but that was short lived. They LOVE it when I wake them up and say "today is a school day"! Ms. Diane, Ms. Nancy, Ms. Kelly and the other teachers are amazing and Julie (Director) and Alicia (Assistant Director) are so comforting to a Mom like me as well as my kiddos. The teachers in the other rooms are fantastic as well, Ms. Erin, Ms. Maura, Mr. Matt, Mr. Aaron and the list goes on!! Kudos to this center for such a great job!!
We have been very happy here. The teachers are wonderful. They worked with us on getting our son potty trained. He enjoys going to school and playing with his friends and learning new things. Its also great that they do things like parent breakfast, fathers day bbq, and book fairs (to name a few)
Caring teachers and great families
The Learning Tree - Livonia South is absolutely amazing! We trust them completely. The Learning Tree is like a second family to us. Our daughter looks forward to seeing her friends and teachers each and every day! As parents, we enjoy experiencing all the things she learns including sign language, displaying her art work and learning of her day-to-day. Our daughter is such an incredibly happy baby and we know that Learning Tree has a lot to do with that! Thank you Learning Tree for all that you do! We would highly recommend your program!
Mrs. Alicia is excellent with the children, she is the reason we stay to see her smiling face every day and give the kids hugs and make them feel special. Mrs Amy and Mr Matt are also great with the children, as is Mrs. Diane. The meals are healthy.
We love the Learning Tree! They have a great teaching cirriculum and we appreciate their values. They provide healthy and delicious food and snacks, while making efforts to help the environment with their policy to use real plates, silverware, cups, and cloth napkins... instead of throwing away plastic and paper products. Their food selection is mostly organic and all very healthy. Their hours are great and they hold many events to involve the parents, such as school parties, parent breakfasts, and even "date night" services every so often, on Friday evenings, for free!
The Learning Tree Livonia South is an excellent daycare center that strives on providing the best food, the best experiences, and the best teachers for children. Every day, I know that my children are safe and loved. I know that my preschooler is being challenged educationally, as well as, socially. I'm confident that this center is the best around!
Their commitment to providing healthy meals and snacks to the children is something that no other daycare/learning center has the capability to provide. My girls no longer attend TLT South but only because we moved. They currently attend another chain daycare/learning centered and it doesn't compare to TLT South. My girls also loved the teachers they had. My four year old still talks about them. We moved two years ago!
I had to go back to work when my daughter was three. I went to five different centers before I decided The Learning Tree was the best fit for our family. My daughter will be eight soon and I still send her their for summer camp. There are some of the same teachers there now that were there when we first started! I think of it as extended family!
We loved Gigi's center while my son was there. We had to move out of state which was the only reason we would have ever left. Would have taken the teachers with us if we could have!
We love this place! The staff is attentive, and they really seem to genuinly care for the kids. Kids get healthy food and exercise which is an added bonus. My daughter loves coming here.
We have been with The Learning Tree Livonia South for almost 5 months now and couldn't be happier with our choice of childcare. Everyday when I leave my son, I know he is with truly caring individuals. We have seen so much positive progress in his development and I know that his teachers are partly to thank. I don't feel like I'm just leaving him to be watched, rather, I feel like his teachers are working with us to make sure he is learning and growing. For example, one day while dropping my son off, I mentioned to his teacher, in passing, something that we were working on at home. A couple days later, she pointed out to me a special play area they set up to help him work on the same thing while he was there. I never asked for anything special but I really appreciate that she listened to me and took the initiative to help our little guy out. I can't say enough about how wonderful everyone is and the facility is fantastic--a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. I highly recommend The Learning Tree!
We love the friendliness of the staff and all the great projects the children work on.
My daughter always comes home talking about The Learning Tree. She loves the teachers, especially Ms. Shannon. I never have any worries while my daughter is there. Knowing she is in good hands and having a blast with the other kids gives me peace of mind. I love the daily activities the children do! My husband and I couldn't be happier with the organization of Learning Tree and my daughter proves how wonderful it is as she tells me all about her day. I would highly recommend The Learning Tree! -Jessica Stoner
The teachers are great and go the extra mile to make each child feel comfortable and safe. They plan wonderful educational activities for the children and in a variety of learning environments. I appreciate their healthy and organic food options that they offer.
The staff is very caring. Every teacher remembers my child's name and says hello, even after they move on to other classrooms. The food is great, not only nutritious, but it gives my son a chance to try food he would never try at home. I use the same menu ideas at home. The field trips introduce my son to a wide spectrum of events. Some of his favorite trips are the U of M Botanical Gardens, visits to the ice rink where they wear gym shoes on the ice, and visits to the gymnastics center where he loved to play in the pit of foam cubes. My son has thrived socially, matured, and excelled in school from the many experiences at the Learning Tree. The tuition is worth every penny. I tried church basement day care, where pizza was served for lunch and it was not challenging my son in any area. My son and daughter attend the summer camp program and look forward to it. I would recommend the Learning Tree and wish my daughter could attend summer camp beyond the age of 12.
The staff is great and attentive.
The extended hours make it convenient to work around my non 8-5 work schedule. Plus, it does matter to me that my boys are eating healthy, fresh food every day, and not processed food out of a box. My two also really enjoy the day camp field trips and love having male teachers.
We have recently only been using back up care. However it has been a positive nurturing environment in all our years there, starting when we were in preschool. We are most happy that long term caregivers remain there who are familiar with us and know the kids. This is important, especially when management changes.
I love this daycare because they are constantly evaluating themselves to see what they can do better: for the kids, for the environment, for the families. I am amazed at the extent of the programs they offer to the kids. For example, they had an organic farmers market set up in the entry for the kids to pick a few items to take home and try. They even had the kids decorate their fabric shopping bags. Another over the top example is the Halloween helicopter treat drop. How cool is it that they have a pilot fly a helicopter in and drop healthy snacks?!?! Beyond the unique experiences for the kids, they do a few breakfasts in the center open to the parents and some dinners as well. Speaking of the food, it's fantastic. As much organic as possible (I think it may be everything now) and all freshly made there. My kids have picked up healthy eating habits from The Learning Tree. All in all, it's an amazing daycare. I think of it much more as a school, than a "daycare" as I can see the curriculum in they daily activities. Emails are sent daily summarizing the activities and meals for each classroom. It's very helpful to know exactly what was covered to encourage discussions about it around the dinner table at night.
You can tell that the directors and teachers take pride in this center. I can trust that my kids are safe, eating healthy meals and snacks, and are learning through creative, age-appropriate activities. The center is family-friendly and a place where my kids love to go.
Friendly and caring staff. Great learning environment. Play centered around structure.
The programming , staff, food and atmosphere at LT is AMAZING! The staff were caring, kind and really helped my child to be ready for kindergarten! The facility was super clean, the food was amazing ( according to my child) and even now, three years later, she wishes she could still attend!
I love the staff. They preschool programs are wonderful. I love the variety of foods for the kids also. My son goes two days a week and they have done an amazing job with him.
The Learning Tree staff is friendly and helpful. The field trips are fun and the food is healthy. My child has an opportunity to build relationships outside of her school environment in the summer. And it's always good to know that I can drop-in if necessary.
The Learning Tree offers healthy meals, wonderful field trips and fun activities for all ages of kids. They have a great summer program. They have a fun but educational preschool curriculum. They offer family oriented activities for holidays and other special events. Overall it was a very good choice for our family and we were happy with our experience.
It was a great first experience of school to my child who was initially a bit introverted. He really came out of his shell as he was exposed to new experiences and the environment was very loving and safe. I felt very comfortable with my child at The Learning Tree.
Hello, I am a mom of three, a daughter 13, two sons 11 and 7. All three of my kids have attended Learning tree since they were tiny babies until they were ready for school. Their experience at learning tree has been really impresive, every time we drive by they will make sure to point it out where their day care is. Personally I was very sceptic about the daycares, but believe it or not the learning tree has proved me wrong! Trusted, evryone can be seen from others, plenty of activities, clean also. Thanks to learning tree my kids were more then ready for school time, knew how to interact with others properly, shared, their vocabulary was more advanced than others! Very satisfied with the outcome! And this is comming feom a picky mom, trust me!
Our family loves TLT-South. Our daughter has attended full time for two years now. There are many great things about the center, such as the healthy meals which are cooked on-site daily and the fantastic playground. But the best thing about the Learning Tree are the teachers and staff. The people who work here are always caring and attentive with our daughter, and go to great lengths to make each day interesting and fun for the kids. We recommend The Learning Tree to anyone looking for a top quality daycare center for their own children.
The staff is wonderful, so friendly and helpful. It amazes me how they know every single child's name. The way they teach the little ones has been so well thought out from learning manners at the table eating (not to mention the great organic food) to all the educational programs. I highly recommend the Learning Tree, your children will love going and you will feel confident in the care your children are receiving.
I always knew that my children were being well taken care of while I was at work. The food is healthy, the activities are creative and the sense of family is apparent from the moment you walk through the doors.
This center is clean and safe. There is a warm and welcoming feeling from the vast majority of the staff, and my kids are very content in this environment.
I support the Learning Tree by providing materials and furnishings for their centers. They are a pleasure to work with and I am fortunate to be associated with the fine education and care that they provide.
We only left this center because we moved out of the area. We have been in 2 centers since and this is the place that we continue to hold other places up to and I have to admit that we have been disappointed. The staff is caring. The center is clean, fun and filled with joy. There is a team spirit, between the teachers, the students, the parents and the leadership (which has changed since I was there) trying to maximize the everything for the good of the child. We keep hoping they will open a center in western Canton!!
