Nurturing Environment
The services at the Gottlieb Child Care Center are available to Gottlieb and Loyola employees with limited spaces for community members.

The facilities and programs at the Child Care Center are based on the philosophy that children need a warm, supportive environment to develop physically, intellectually and socially while their parents are at work.

The center is for children ages six weeks to six years. It is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is closed on national holidays.

The center also offers a full-day kindergarten program. For more information, contact the Child Care Center Director or Assistant Director at (708) 681-7871.

Facilities
The Day Care Center is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

The center consists of two infant classrooms, Toddler I, Toddler II, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Children progress from one group to another according to their development needs.

The toddlers and Pre-Schoolers’ rooms have several areas: dramatic play, a library for reading, and tables for creative/project work.

Just outside the center is an enclosed playground featuring a tricycle path, spiral slide, climbing platforms, and more. A special section just for toddlers includes tunnels for crawling and a small slide.

The center is located on the Gottlieb Campus.

Most of our classrooms have a waiting list. Please contact the Director or Assistant Director for waiting list information. A $100 non-refundable registration fee is required to be added to the waiting list.

Staff
All staff members have college degrees or completed course-work in early childhood education or a related field. Head teachers and aides have experience in teaching and caring for young children. All staff are carefully screened for their patience, sensitivity and ability to adjust the program and environment to meet a child’s needs. All staff members have been with the center for at least three years, with several staff members who have been with the center since it opened in 1989.
