The Hazelwood YMCA was established as an outreach branch in 1971. Today it is a community site and offers programs to keep youths off the streets and engaged in positive activities like karate soccer and computer training. It also operates a food pantry a soup kitchen day camp and an after-school program to meet the basic needs of community members and provides computer training to citizens in the community. The YMCA is an active partner in the community collaborating with other organizations in Hazelwood.
The facility boasts a large recreation room a game room an art room a child-safe internet equipped computer lab a large food pantry a kitchen and a conference room.

The Hazelwood YMCA is dedicated to building strong kids strong families and strong communities.
