St. Anthony School Preschool

The education at St. Anthony School is based on the belief that each individual is unique and a beautiful gift. God is present in each person. Together, students, faculty, clergy, and parents work to form a dynamic Christian community in which each person is loved, respected and encouraged toward the full development of personal integrity and responsibility toward others. An understanding and appreciation of the diverse cultures represented in the school/parish community are an integral part of the educational program and prepares students for life in a multicultural global community.

In order to provide the best education possible, the development of the whole child is emphasized throughout the curriculum. The community works together to maintain an atmosphere which is safe and conducive to learning, and within which is recognized the individuality of each child and his or her right to succeEducation

The teaching and practice of religious values are a priority in educating each student toward peace and justice. The importance of Christian living within the family is recognized as a vital element in the social and religious development of St. Anthony students. This if fostered through ongoing communication between school and home and parental participation in various aspects of the school program.

In 1998, the school philosophy was expressed in terms of outcomes what a St. Anthonys graduate should be. Those outcomes have undergone revision and are now embraced as Student Learning Expectations, which become the work of nine years of development from kindergarten through eighth grade. Each teacher in each grade contributes to the development of the child as appropriate for his/her age.
