Our philosophy is based on the belief that the first few years of life are significantly important in the development of a child and who he or she will become. We feel children are natural learners and investigators researching subjects that interest them. If we provide the environment the social interactions and well-constructed learning opportunities the child will naturally construct their own intelligence.
We also believe what children do best is PLAY. Play and exploration is the way in which children learn about the world around them.
Children are natrually curious about the world and want to explore and communicate what they are seeing hearing tasting touching smelling and feeling about their world. They have individual thoughts and emotions. Listening to chilren’s thoughts and ideas are how we validate and respect chilren. Our teachers are educated in early childhood and understand how to do just that!
Children also learn best through “hands on projects”. Because each child’s needs and interests are highly valued they are given as much time as needed to explore communicate create complete extend and come back to a project as long as they desire.
