DLC serves children as young as six weeks up to school aged children in the third grade. We transport to and from Sewell Elementary School every public school day. DLC offers : All day, Half day, Extended care, and Swimming instruction programs Two, Three, or Five days a week to accommodate a large variety of schedules.
DLCs Summer Program places your child according to their age and maturity with an experienced qualified teacher in one of our eight stimulating classrooms. The whole child’s development: emotionally, intellectually, physically and spiritually is important to us. Our value-based, well-rounded program includes art activities, music, storytelling, interest centers and even the culinary arts.
We use the “High Reach” curriculum to teach reading, writing, science, social studies, and number readiness. Fine motor skills are developed through the use of a wide variety of manipulative materials and toys.
Our two specially designed shaded playgrounds offer specific age groups all kinds of activities. There is lots of room for bike riding and swinging as well as a special western village and elaborate climbing equipment to play on. From the time you enter the school there are large animals to greet you, each has a name and many come from stories the children have learned.

At Discovery Learning Center we are interested in the whole child…in his development socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically and spiritually. Our well rounded program offers art activities, music, story telling, number and language readiness, dramatic play, science, social studies, interest centers and culinary art. We develop small muscle coordination through the use of our many manipulative materials. Our well shaded outdoor play area is not only used to develop large muscles, but also to have fun. Unlike most schools today, Discovery strives to assist the parent in developing strong Christian values. Your children are very special and our goal is to help build self esteem in each child and love for God. We also stress honesty and responsibility at Discovery Learning Center.
